Heisman - Week 9

1) Colt McCoy (previously #1) – QB Texas (Season: 2,285 yds, 21 TD, 4 INT, 412 rush yds, 7 rush TD)
391 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT and 1 rush TD against Oklahoma St. The brutal schedule McCoy and Texas have had to face (Oklahoma, Missouri, Oklahoma St., Texas Tech) ends this week. Somehow, McCoy has put up the best numbers against the best competition. That, to me, deserves the Heisman at this point.
Next: at Texas Tech

2) Graham Harrell (3) – QB Texas Tech (Season: 3,147 yds, 28 TD, 5 INT, 3 rush TD)
386 yds and 5 TD against Kansas. Harrell leapfrogs Bradford this week with a huge performance. This is the make or break week for Harrell’s Heisman chances and the Red Raiders’ national championship hopes.
Next: vs. Texas

3) Sam Bradford (2) – QB Oklahoma (Season: 2,775 YDS, 29 TD, 5 INT, 1 rush TD)
255 yds and 3 TD against Kansas St. Bradford struggled in the second half of the beatdown of Kansas St., but he still is having a great year on a very good team.
Next: vs. Nebraska

4) Chase Daniel (4) – QB Missouri (Season: 2,675 YDS, 23 TD, 6 INT, 146 rush yds, 1 rush TD)
302 yds, 5 TD, 1 INT in Missouri’s win at Colorado. Daniel tried to make up for the last two weeks with a good performance. Mizzou is going to have to win out for Daniel to have a chance.
Next: at Baylor

5) Javon Ringer (5) – RB Michigan St (Season: 1,373 yds, 16 TD, 120 rec yds)
194 yds and 2 TD against rival Michigan. Ringer gives himself more momentum in the race after a big week. Now he gets to beat up on Wisconsin this week.
Next: vs. Wisconsin

Honorable Mention:
Tim Tebow (HM) – QB Florida (Season: 1,415 yds, 12 TD, 225 rush yds, 5 TD)180 yds and 2 TD passing, 2 rush TD against Kentucky.
Next: at Georgia

Michael Crabtree (HM) – WR Texas Tech (Season 60 receptions, 794 yds, 14 TD)
9 catches for 70 yds and 2 TD against Kansas.
Next: vs. Texas

Jeremy Maclin (HM) – WR Missouri (Season: 58 receptions, 800 yds, 7 rec TD, 1 rush TD, 1 return TD)
11 catches for 134 yards against Colorado
Next: at Baylor

David Johnson – QB Tulsa (Season: 2,661 yds, 32 TD, 9 INT, 3 rush TD)
Leader of undefeated Tulsa cracks the list for the first time.
Next: at Arkansas

Daryl Clark (HM) – QB PSU (Season: 1,652 yds, 11 TD, 2 INT, 190 rush yds, 8 rush TD)
121 yds passing, 39 rushing against Ohio St. Pretty uninspiring, but his team is still in the middle of the national championship picture.
Next: at Iowa

Dropped out:
Mark Sanchez (HM) – QB USC (Season: 1,717 YDS, 20 TD, 7 INT)
216 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT against Arizona
Next: vs. Washington
