Heisman - Week 8

1) Colt McCoy (previously #1) – QB Texas (Season: 1,894 yds, 19 TD, 3 INT, 371 rush yds, 6 rush TD)
29 of 32 for 337 yds, 2 TD and 2 rush TD against Missouri. McCoy and Texas are on a roll, but can he keep this up? Texas’ schedule is ridiculous, playing Oklahoma, Missouri and now Oklahoma St. in consecutive weeks. McCoy has the Heisman race by the horns now for the time being.
Next: vs. Oklahoma St

2) Sam Bradford (2) – QB Oklahoma (Season: 2,520 YDS, 26 TD, 5 INT, 1 rush TD)
468 yds and 3 TD against Kansas. Bradford continues to put up huge numbers for Oklahoma, but McCoy seems to outperform him every week.
Next: at Kansas St.

3) Graham Harrell (3) – QB Texas Tech (Season: 2,761 yds, 23 TD, 5 INT, 3 rush TD)
450 yds and 3 TD against Texas A&M. Texas Tech has been shaky the last few weeks, but they keep winning and Harrell keeps leading them.
Next: at Kansas

4) Chase Daniel (4) – QB Missouri (Season: 2,373 YDS, 18 TD, 5 INT, 112 rush yds, 1 rush TD)
318 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT in Missouri’s loss to Texas. Daniel has really screwed the pooch in his last two games, losing both. Wasn’t Missouri supposed to win the national championship this year? They can’t lose to Colorado this week or Daniel’s chances will be completely gone.
Next: vs. Colorado

5) Javon Ringer (5) – RB Michigan St (Season: 1,179 yds, 14 TD, 95 rec yds)
67 yds and no TD against Ohio St. A season low in carries and yards suggests that Ringer’s production is going to tail off.
Next: at Michigan

Honorable Mention:
Tim Tebow (HM) – QB Florida (Season: 1,235 yds, 10 TD, 179 rush yds, 3 TD)
Off last week.
Next: vs. Kentucky

Michael Crabtree (HM) – WR Texas Tech (Season 43 receptions, 742 yds, 12 TD)
8 catches for 71 yds and 2 TD against Texas A&M.
Next: at Kansas

Jeremy Maclin (HM) – WR Missouri (Season: 47 receptions, 666 yds, 5 rec TD, 1 rush TD, 1 return TD)
8 catches for 66 yards against Texas
Next: vs. Oklahoma St.

Mark Sanchez (HM) – QB USC (Season: 1,501 YDS, 19 TD, 6 INT)
253 yds, 5 TD against Washington St.
Next: at Arizona

Daryl Clark (UR) – QB PSU (Season: 1,531 yds, 11 TD, 2 INT, 190 rush yds, 8 rush TD)
171 yds, 1 TD, 45 rush yds, 2 TD against Michigan. This is the week for Clark to move up this list or fall off of it for good.
Next: at Ohio St.
Dropped out:
Max Hall (HM) – QB BYU (Season: 2,119 yds, 20 TD, 6 INT, 2 rush TD)274 yds and 2 INT in BYU’s loss to TCU ends Hall’s chances at the Heisman.
Next: vs. UNLV
